’Cats Ready for Big Ten Championships in Baltimore

BALTIMORE — Northwestern will tee off at the 2018 Big Ten Championships on Friday, April 27 at the Baltimore Country Club.
The three-day, 54-hole tournament will be played on the Five Farms Course for the second year in a row. Regarded as one of the top courses in the nation, the par-70 course is a three-time host of the Senior Players Championship.

Tee times will begin at 8 a.m. CT on Friday and Saturday, while Sunday's action will start at 7 a.m. CT.

The #B1GCats will be starting Dylan Wu, Ryan Lumsden, Sam Triplett, Everton Hawkins, and Pete Griffith.

Northwestern has momentum heading into the Championships, as the 'Cats finished the regular season on a high note, tying for first place at the weather-shortened Boilermaker Invitational, the third team win of the season.
The Wildcat lineup will feature plenty of experience, led by a pair of proven seniors in Triplett and Wu. Three of the 'Cats starters, Wu, Lumsden, and Hawkins competed in last year's Big Ten Championships.
Wu, the team's stroke average leader, will look to continue a phenomenal collegiate career at his final Championships. The Medford, Oregon, native has finished top-10 in his last two Big Ten Tournament appearances.
Fellow senior Triplett is coming off the best performance of his career just two matches ago, where he shot a 7-under 206 at The Goodwin at TPC Harding Park on March 29-30.
Fair weather is on the forecast for Chicago's Big Ten Team in Baltimore, with highs in the mid 60's for the weekend, and only a slight chance of showers Friday.
