3/1/2016 8:16:00 PM | Men's Golf
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. - Northwestern closed out its winter tournament schedule with a 10th place finish at the Southwestern Jones Invitational. The Wildcats shot 26-over 890 during the three-day, 54-hole tournament at the par-72, 6,992-yard North Ranch Country Club.
Andrew Whalen paced the Wildcats for the second-straight tournament and finished 13th overall in the individual standings. The senior shot his best round on the final day and carded a 2-under 70 to lead the 'Cats through the final 18 holes.
Chicago's Big Ten Team will have a few weeks off before returning to action in Palo Alto, Calif., for The Goodwin – a three-day tournament hosted by Stanford. The 'Cats will tee off on March 24.

COACHES CORNER
"I thought it was a disappointing finish to our winter schedule given the progress we have made as a team over the past few months," said head coach David Inglis. "These last two days we played nowhere near what we are capable of. We need to take some time to regroup, finish finals, and get ready to compete at Stanford over Spring Break."
