Men’s Golf Prepares for NCAA Athens Regional

EVANSTON (May 17, 2026) – Northwestern men's golf is set to take on NCAA Regionals this week, competing as the No. 8 seed at the NCAA Athens Regional in Athens, Georgia. The event runs from Monday (May 18) through Wednesday (May 20), with tee times set to begin each day at 6:30 a.m. CT.

Head coach David Inglis will lead the Wildcats to their tenth consecutive NCAA Regional, advancing to the NCAA Championships in 2018.

The Field
No. 8 seeded Northwestern joins a 13-team field with the likes of No. 1 Auburn, No. 2 Illinois, No. 3 Vanderbilt, No. 4 BYU, No. 5 Georgia, No. 6 Louisville, No. 7 Kansas, No. 9 Charleston, No. 10 Rice, No. 11 Southern Miss, No. 12 Harvard, No. 13 Howard, and individuals from Fairfield, Louisiana, Alabama A&M, Stetson, North Alabama, UAB, South Alabama, Coastal Carolina, and Kennesaw State.

The Leaderboard
Northwestern is set to take on the par-71, 7,258-yard University of Georgia Golf Course. Live scoring will be available through Scoreboard, and the tournament will be livestreamed through Babygrande Golf.

The top five teams and the low individual not on an advancing team from each regional site will advance to play at the NCAA Men's Golf Championships, May 29-June 3, at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
