Wildcats Travel to Florida to Compete at The Hayt

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern Men's Golf returns to the course this weekend in pursuit of their fifth straight Top 3 team finish at the 33rd edition of The Hayt. The event runs Saturday (Mar. 8) through Monday (Mar. 10) and will be hosted at Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
The Wildcats open three straight days of action on Saturday morning. Tee times can be found here.
The Field
The 'Cats round out a 15-team field that includes the likes of host-school North Florida, #4 Texas, #8 North Carolina, #9 Virginia, #14 South Carolina, #18 Alabama, Coastal Carolina, Duke, Liberty, Louisville, South Florida, UNC Charlotte, the U.S. Naval Academy, and UT San Antonio.

The 'Cats captured their fourth consecutive top-three finish at The Prestige, taking third place with an 11-under-par 841 (283-281-277), finishing seventeen shots lower than their score at the event in the previous season.
Niall Shiels-Donegan put forward a career round to complete his week, rattling off nine birdies in his final round for a career-low 64. Shiels-Donegan's final-round heroics were enough to propel him to a score of 207 (74-69-64), placing him in a tie for seventh for his highest finish this season.
