
Wildcats Fall 4-2 in Tight Battle to Memphis

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern fell 4-2 to Memphis on Friday night in a tight battle that came down to the wire.
Steven Forman picked up a ranked win over Oscar Cutting, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
Trice Pickens, ranked No. 92 in the country, earned an impressive 6-1, 6-3 win over No. 88 Jeremy Taylor at No. 3 singles.
Felix Nordby's match ended at 6-4, 4-6, 2-2 in the third set after a lengthy battle.
Natan Spear took the first set at No. 6 singles, and fought back from down 4-1 in the third to 5-4 on serve. He saved two match points, but at deuce, could not bring it to five-all despite a valiant effort.
The Wildcats are back in action on Sunday with a doubleheader against Louisville and IUPUI. The first match starts at 12 p.m. at Combe Tennis Center, with free parking for fans.
