Wildcats Host Louisville and IUPUI for Sunday Doubleheader

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern continues its weekend homestand at the Combe Tennis Center with a Sunday doubleheader against Lousiville and IUPUI, set to start at 12 p.m. CT.

The Wildcats are 2-1 on the season and coming off a tight 4-2 defeat to Memphis on Friday where Steven Forman and Trice Pickens earned singles wins.
Louisville is 2-1 to start the season with wins over Dayton and Bellarmine and a 4-0 defeat to No. 11 Kentucky. The Cardinals finished 9-12 and 3-8 in the ACC last season.
Northwestern last met Louisville in 2020 before the season was canceled due to COVID-19, and the 'Cats secured a 4-1 win with singles victories from Steven Forman and Simen Bratholm. Forman and Natan Spear also picked up a doubles win.
Four Cardinals that competed in that 2020 matchup are still on the roster, including Tin Chen, who was ranked No. 42 at the time.
IUPUI is 0-1 to start the season with a 6-1 loss at Michigan State. The Jaguars finished 5-14 last season.
The two programs last met in January of 2020, a 4-0 win for the 'Cats. Forman and Bratholm picked up wins in the contest while Trice Pickens was up 6-2, 5-2 when the match was clinched. Three Jaguars that competed in the lineup that day are still on the roster.
