MADISON, Wis. — Despite a pair of double-digit rebound performances by seniors Dererk Pardon and Vic Law, Northwestern was topped by Wisconsin, 62-46, on Saturday afternoon at the Kohl Center.
Pardon and Law both finished with 11 boards. For Pardon, the 11 marked his sixth game with 10-plus rebounds the season and for Law, the total marked his season high.
The contest marked the first time that a pair of Wildcats have each posted double-digit rebounds since Pardon (11) and Gavin Skelly (10) performed the feat against Rutgers on January 12, 2017.
The Badgers held a 34-24 lead heading into the locker room after the first period. The 'Cats added 12 points off the bench, while Wisconsin contributed just three. The Wildcats also had nine fast-break points compare to UW's two.
First-year guard Ryan Greer posted a career-high six points in the first half alone, while adding two points in the first 20 minutes of game action.
In the second half, graduate guard Ryan Taylor knocked down two three-pointers and picked up four rebounds. His pair of trifectas marked his 12th game with multiple three-pointers this season.
Redshirt junior guard Aaron Falzon went 2-for-3 from beyond the arc. He has gone eight-for-10 over his last two games from downtown.
Northwestern is back in action on Tuesday, January 29, at Maryland. Tip-off from College Park is set for 6 p.m. CT.
