EVANSTON, Ill. — Sullivan-Ubben Head Men's Basketball Coach Chris Collins has announced the addition of Ryan Soulis (Sue-liss) to the Northwestern roster ahead of the 2026-27 season. A 6-foot-10, 230-pound forward, Soulis spent the past season at Columbia.

"We are excited to welcome Ryan Soulis into the Northwestern basketball family," said Collins. "Ryan will bring much-needed experience, size and a versatile skill set to our frontline. Ryan plays with great energy and a high level of toughness that he is bringing from his three years in college, as well as competing internationally with the youth national team in Greece. We are looking forward to seeing the impact he can make on our team this upcoming year."

Soulis played in 26 games for the Lions in 2025-26, starting 17. He averaged 5.8 points per game on 48.8% shooting, dished out 1.5 assists per game and pulled down 4.6 rebounds per game. Soulis posted 1.0 blocks per game and 0.5 steals per game on the defensive end. He ranked fifth in the Ivy League in block percentage and 10th in defensive rebound percentage.

He tallied career highs in points (14) and rebounds (10) on Dec. 3, 2025, against Hofstra, canning a pair of triples. Soulis demonstrated his defensive diligence in a four-block effort at Stony Brook on Dec. 9, 2025.

On the international level, Soulis played for Greece in the 2025 FIBA U20 EuroBasket, where he averaged 5.3 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.

An Athens, Greece, native, Soulis began his college career at Richmond. During his debut campaign in 2023-24, he appeared in three games before sustaining a season-ending foot injury, as the Spiders went on to win the A-10 Regular Season Championship. In 2024-25, Soulis averaged 1.0 point, 1.0 rebound and 0.5 assists in 20 games played for the Spiders.

Soulis prepped at Asheville School in North Carolina in 2022-23. He averaged 12 points per game and led Asheville to a 19-6 record and a semifinal berth in the NCISAA 3A State Championship.
