'Cats to host Windon Memorial Classic at Knollwood Club, Sept. 29-30

EVANSTON, Ill. (August 15, 2025) – Northwestern University head men's golf coach David Inglis announced the Wildcats' schedule for the 2025-26 season on Friday.  The 'Cats are slated to compete in 11 events during the regular season before the start of postseason play.

Northwestern opens the new slate in the Pacific Northwest at the Sahalee Players Championship, September 6-7, in Sammamish, Wash.  The 'Cats return to action close to home, where they will join some of the top collegiate programs in the country at the prestigious Jackson T. Stephens Cup, September 15-17, at Shoreacres in Lake Bluff, Ill.

Following the Jackson T. Stephens Cup, Northwestern will turn its attention to hosting the Windon Memorial Classic at Knollwood Club in Lake Forest, Ill., September 29-30.  The Wildcats are set to feature as part of a 16-team field at the event that includes four teams who qualified for last season's NCAA Championship Finals.

Northwestern heads back on the road to close its fall slate during the month of October.  A trip south to Vero Beach, Fla. and the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational, October 19-20, precedes The Clerico, October 27-28, in Tulsa, Okla., where the 'Cats will look to defend their 2024 team title at the event.

Inglis' crew kicks off its spring campaign on January 31 when it battles Big Ten Conference foe Michigan State for the Gantner Cup in Mountain Lake, Fla.  Northwestern jets west to La Quinta, Calif. just over two weeks later for The Prestige at PGA West, February 16-18.

The 'Cats will begin March in the Palmetto State, where they will compete in the Colleton River Collegiate, March 1-2, in Bluffton, S.C.  A return trip to the West Coast awaits at the end of the month, as Northwestern sets its sights on Palo Alto, Calif. for The Goodwin, March 26-28.

A quick turnaround awaits following the Wildcats' return from California, as Northwestern heads to Augusta, Ga. for the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational, April 4-5, in what will serve as its penultimate regular season event ahead of the Hoosier Collegiate, April 18-19, in Bloomington, Ind.

The postseason begins for Northwestern at the Big Ten Championships, May 1-3, with Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in Portland, Ore. serving as the host to the league meet.  NCAA Regionals are set for May 18-20, while Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. will once again provide the setting for the NCAA Championship Finals, May 29-June 3.

Inglis is set to return six letterwinners from last season, including Daniel Svärd, who recently came in at No. 19 in the latest PGA Tour University rankings. Inglis will also welcome three newcomers in redshirt sophomore Rowan Sullivan and first-years Monty Holcombe and Isaac Lee
