EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern Men's Tennis (4-5) continues its nine-match homestand with a busy weekend, welcoming three teams into Combe Tennis Center. The 'Cats take on Memphis (5-7) on Friday night at 8 p.m. CT, then kick off a Sunday doubleheader against No. 50 Notre Dame (8-2) at noon CT. Northwestern concludes the weekend that evening against Chicago State (0-0) at 6 p.m. CT.

Northwestern is 4-1 at home in dual play, with its only loss coming at the hands of No. 24 Harvard on January 31. Most recently, the team notched a pair of 7-0 sweeps last Saturday, defeating Illinois State and IU Indy behind a 4-0 overall performance from Chad Miller. Saiprakash Goli picked up his first career victory at No. 1 singles, and Felix Nordby improved to 6-1 in dual season singles action with a pair of victories on the day.

Going into Friday's matchup, Memphis is on a three-match win streak, defeating Jackson State, Oklahoma State and New Orleans. The 'Cats are searching for their third victory all-time against the Tigers, as Memphis holds a 7-2 series lead after sweeping last season's meeting in Memphis. Conor Gannon leads this year's Tiger squad, coming in at No. 88 in the ITA's latest singles record after a 5-3 start to his dual season.

No. 50 Notre Dame had a win streak snapped last Saturday against Illinois - its first loss since January 17, when the Irish fell to now-No. 24 Princeton. Notre Dame is a familiar foe for the 'Cats, as the two programs will face off for the 90th time on Sunday. The Fighting Irish currently lead the all-time series 46-43 after the teams split their most recent two meetings. Sebastian Dominko leads this year's Notre Dame squad with a No. 39 ranking in Thursday's ITA singles rankings.

Finally, Chicago State opens its dual season Sunday night against the 'Cats. Northwestern is a perfect 12-0 all-time against the Cougars, including a sweep in the most recent meeting last March.

Following this weekend's action, Northwestern will face two more non-conference opponents in a doubleheader next Saturday before opening conference dual play the week after. The 'Cats will host Northern Kentucky at 10 a.m. CT on Saturday, March 1, before welcoming in Marquette at 4 p.m. CT that evening.
