EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern men's tennis kicks off their 2025 dual season this weekend, facing a trio of non-conference foes to start the winter. The 'Cats will host UIC and Saint Joseph's for a doubleheader at Combe Tennis Center on Friday, then travel to Louisville on Monday to do battle against the Cardinals. Friday's matches begin at 11 a.m. CT and 6 p.m. CT, and first serve from Louisville is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT as well.
Head Coach Arvid Swan welcomed back eight returners to his 2025 squad, including Big Ten Player to Watch Saiprakash Goli. The graduate student played the majority of last season at number three singles, where he collected 12 wins, including the match-clincher in the 'Cats' upset of No. 8 Duke. Swan's number four singles player from last year - senior Felix Nordby - also returns to action this dual season. Prior to fall tournament play, Nordby and first-year partner Vincent Yang were tabbed the nation's No. 64 doubles duo in the ITA preseason rankings.
Along with the returners, Northwestern's roster features three newcomers set for their dual debuts. Yang is joined by Lucas Coriaty and Carter Pate in Swan's first-year class. All three players saw action during fall tournament play.
After advancing to the quarterfinals of last spring's Big Ten Men's Tennis Tournament, the 'Cats concluded their 2023-24 season in the first round of the NIT in Bradenton, Fla.
Northwestern men's tennis returns home following their trip to Louisville, and will host Harvard inside Combe Tennis Center on Friday, January 31. First serve between the 'Cats and the Crimson is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.
