ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Big Ten Conference announced Thursday the complete list of football student-athletes scheduled to attend the 2024 Big Ten Football Media Days presented by Old National Bank. For the first time in its history, the event will feature a three-day format from July 23-25 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, with six of the conference's 18 schools represented by their head football coach and a trio of student-athletes each day. Northwestern will help kickoff the event on July 23 and be represented by Dan and Susan Jones Family Head Coach David Braun, graduate wide receiver A.J. Henning, graduate linebacker Xander Mueller and graduate running back Cam Porter.
July 23: Illinois, Northwestern, Ohio State, Purdue, Rutgers, Wisconsin
July 24: Iowa, Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State, UCLA, USC
July 25: Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon, Washington
Big Ten Network will broadcast six consecutive hours of live coverage every day, beginning at 10 a.m. CT. Rick Pizzo and Jake Butt will host morning coverage of the day's press conferences, while Dave Revsine, Gerry DiNardo and Howard Griffith will interview all 72 attendees on the BTN set during afternoons.
Northwestern is coming off a successful 2023 campaign which saw the Wildcats finish 8-5 en route to a 14-7 victory over Utah in the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl, the program's fifth-consecutive bowl victory. The Wildcats' seven-win improvement marked the largest by any FBS program in the nation, earning Dan & Susan Jones Family Head Football Coach David Braun consensus Big Ten Coach of the Year honors while also being named a finalist for National Coach of the Year.
