Men's Swim & Dive Gear Up to Compete at Big Ten Championships in Columbus, Ohio

Evanston, Ill. - The 'Cats are ready to travel to Columbus, Ohio, for the Big Ten Championships at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion Wednesday, February 28th - Saturday, March 2nd. The meet will begin on Wednesday Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. CT with relays and an expedition team diving event. The next three days will consist of preliminary events at 9 a.m. CT, and finals at 4 p.m CT. In the 2023 Big Ten Championships in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the 'Cats finished seventh with 618 points. Kevin Houseman, a senior at the time, took fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke. Most recently, Northwestern competed in West Lafayette, Indiana, at the B1G Duals.
This meet marks graduate student Andrew Martin's first time with the 'Cats for B1G. In his last performance at the B1G Duals he took first in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 8:52.28. He currently holds the second top time in the B1G with his finish.
