SEATTLE, Wash. - Northwestern volleyball closes out their West Coast trip on Sunday afternoon with a match-up against Washington in Seattle. First serve between the 'Cats and the Huskies is scheduled for 3 p.m. CT on B1G+.

STORYLINES:
  • Buse Hazan led the offense on Friday's match against Oregon, racking up 12 kills over four sets of action. She picked up her 700th kill along the way, and will enter play against Washington just three digs shy of 400.
  • Lauren Carter fell just shy of her first career double-double on Friday, posting nine digs to go with 12 assists. The junior has recorded double-digit assists in ten matches this season, including each of her last three.
  • The 'Cats put up ten blocks as a team against the Ducks, giving them back-to-back matches in double digits as a team. Including Friday's match, they've now totaled seven or more blocks in 11 of their 15 Big Ten contests, and collected 202 on the season as a whole.

THE MATCH-UP:

Sunday's match marks the first meeting between the two programs as conference rivals and the fourth meeting all time. The 'Cats are still in search of their first win over Washington after the Huskies took each of the first three - including an NCAA Tournament matchup in 2003 and the most recent meeting in 2022. Northwestern has taken just one set against Washington between all three matches.

The Huskies enter play Sunday with an 18-7 record that has earned them votes most weeks this season in the AVCA Top-25 poll. They have played to an 8-7 record against conference foes, including ranked wins over Oregon (Oct. 30) and Minnesota (Nov. 7). Most recently, the Huskies were swept by UCLA on the road on Wednesday.

UP NEXT:

After finishing up in Seattle, Northwestern returns home for their final home matches of the season next weekend. They'll host No. 23 USC on Thursday before welcoming Rutgers on Saturday for senior night. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. CT on B1G+.
