'Cats Rally With Six Runs in the 6th Inning in 9-4 Win vs. Penn State

EVANSTON, Ill. -- No. 23 Northwestern took down Penn State 9-4 thanks to a huge sixth-inning rally.
Danielle Williams (7-1) notched 11 strikeouts in a complete game victory to improve the 'Cats record to 22-9. Williams now has four starts with 10+ strikeouts this season.
Angela Zedak and Ayana Lindsey both homered as part of the six-run sixth inning. Maeve Nelson went 2-for-4 with a RBI-double and scored two runs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Wildcats posted three runs in the bottom of the first inning, starting with a successful squeeze bunt by Hannah Cady to score Skyler Shellmyer.
Nikki Cuchran and Kelsey Nader each notched a RBI-single to extend NU's lead in the first.
Penn State tied the ballgame at three before the Wildcats exploded for six runs in the bottom of the sixth to retake the lead. Penn State put one run on the scoreboard before the game was over, but Northwestern still coasted to the 9-4 win.
