Northwestern puts three in Top-20 among demanding 24-team field in Palm Desert
LA QUINTA, California -- James Imai was one of just 12 players in the 120-person field under-par after 54 holes at The Prestige, earning a Top-10 result to lead Northwestern to a Top-5 finish Wednesday at the Greg Norman Course at PGA West.

The Brookline, Massachusetts, native capped his fall season with a fourth-place finish at the Cal Poly Invitational two weeks after firing a final round 64 at Quail Valley, and continued his torrid run of stroke play with a 1-under 212 (T9) in the Coachella Valley at the first event of the spring.
Daniel Svard (T14) and David Nyfjall (T19) joined Imai in the Top-20, and the Wildcats fifth-place result placed them ahead of four squads ranked ahead of them in the current Golfstat rankings.
