EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 10 Northwestern hosts Purdue for a three-game series at Sharon J. Drysdale Field this weekend. First pitch for Friday's game is set for 4:30 p.m. CT, while Saturday's contests starts at 1 p.m. and Sunday's finale kicks-off at noon. All three games will be streamed live on B1G+.

Northwestern (27-6, 8-1 B1G) is coming off a weekend sweep of Ohio State, outscoring the Buckeyes 28-12 in the three games. The 'Cats .818 winning percentage is the highest in the Big Ten, while their eight conference wins are tied with Nebraska for the most in the conference.

Jordyn Rudd was named Big Ten Player of the Week after a phenomenal series against Ohio State. Rudd posted a 0.857 batting average (6-for-7), 0.923 on-base percentage (12-of-13) and 2.286 slugging percentage in three games in Columbus, blasting three home runs and recording only one out on the weekend. The catcher also tallied six runs, six RBI and six walks in the series.

Skyler Shellmyer crushed her first-career home run over the right field fence in Friday's game, hitting .583 (7-for-12) on the weekend with six runs scored.

Rudd (.365), Nikki Cuchran (.363), Shellmyer (.358) and Rachel Lewis (.343) all hold a batting averages over .340. They are on pace to become the first four Wildcats to hit over .320 in the same season since 2015.

Purdue is 19-21 on the season and 2-6 in conference play, having dropped six of their past seven games. The Wildcats are 47-20 all time against Purdue and have won five of the past seven contests.
