THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
-
Peter Skoronski was named to the Midseason All-America Team by Pro Football Focus and the Associated Press. Skoronski is graded as the top pass-protector in the country by PFF, with a 92.6 pass blocking grade. He has allowed only 5 pressures on 445 pass-blocking snaps. Skoronski was named a semifinalist for The Outland Trophy on Wednesday, awarded to the best interior lineman in college football (three finalists will be named next Tuesday, Nov. 29)
- Illinois leads the all-time series by a razor thin 56-54-5 margin; however Northwestern has won 8 of the last 10 meetings and 15 of the last 19. Northwestern is 6-1 at home in the Land of Lincoln Rivalry during Pat Fitzgerald's tenure, including 3 straight wins at Ryan Field. Fitzgerald's 11 wins over Illinois are his most over any opponent during his 17 years at the helm of Northwestern football.

Evan Hull is 140 rushing yards away from posting back-to-back 1,000 yard rushing seasons. This feat was last accomplished by Justin Jackson, who did so in four-consecutive seasons from 2014-17 on his way to becoming the all-time leading rusher in program history. Hull ranks 13th in the nation (3rd in Big Ten) averaging 141.3 all-purpose yards/game and leads all running backs in the country with 51 receptions and 513 receiving yards on the year.
