EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern heads to West Lafayette this Sunday to take on No. 4 Purdue. Tip-off is set for noon CT and will be televised on Big Ten Network.
The Wildcats sit at 9-7 (2-5 B1G) on the season after splitting the past two games with top-10 opponents in Michigan State and Wisconsin.
No. 4 Purdue is the highest-ranked team in the conference and holds a 15-2 (4-2 B1G) record this season. This is the 178th all-time meeting between the two programs, with the 'Cats last win in West Lafayette coming in 2014.
Sunday will be the Wildcats' third-consecutive game against a top-10 opponent, the first three-game stretch against top-10 teams in program history.
Northwestern's last victory over a top-five opponent came last season, as the 'Cats downed No. 4 Michigan State in the Big Ten opener at Welsh-Ryan Arena. The Wildcats are looking for their first top-five win on the road in program history.
Last time out, the 'Cats dropped a nail-biter to No. 8 Wisconsin, 82-76. Chase Audige scored a team-high 23 points on 10-of-17 shooting, while Boo Buie scored 19 and dished out five assists.
