Wildcats Drop Road Contest to No. 4 Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Northwestern dropped Sunday's contest at No. 4 Purdue, 80-60.
 
Northwestern opened the second half on a 7-0 run, cutting the deficit to five, but could not take the lead from Purdue in the second half. 
 
Boo Buie led the way for the Wildcats with 17 points on 5-of-8 shooting from deep, to go along with three assists. Buie put together a 9-0 run by himself in the second half on three consecutive three-pointers.
 
Julian Roper II earned his first career start, contributing seven points, four rebounds, and a team-high three steals. Roper leads all Big Ten first-years with 1.4 steals per game.
 
Pete Nance scored nine points on a perfect 3-of-3 from the field and 2-of-2 from the free throw line. Robbie Beran also contributed nine points on 4-of-7 shooting.
 
The 'Cats look to get back on track on Wednesday as they take on Michigan in Ann Arbor.
