Northwestern Takes Bronze at the Big Ten Championships

CARMEL, Ind. -- The Wildcats took bronze at the 2021 Big Ten Championships, their best finish finish since 2017. Four Northwestern golfers made the top-25 with John Driscoll finishing tied for sixth place.
After the first round, John Driscoll III led the field at one-under with Northwestern sitting tied for fifth. Driscoll recorded four birdies in the round, birdying the 16th and the 18th hole to finish under par.
NU recorded the third most birdies out of the field with 39 across the 54-hole weekend. David Nyfjall led the way with 11 birdies followed closely by John Driscoll who collected 10 birdies. Both finished in the top-three for most birdies in the field.

Chicago's Big Ten Team now awaits the verdict of the selection committee in hopes to participate in the NCAA Regionals that are set to take place from May 17 to May 19.
