Evanston, IL - Northwestern Football returns to Ryan Field on Saturday as the Wildcats battle Big Ten West foe Minnesota at 2:30 p.m.
Fans can tune in on the Big Ten Network or listen to WGN Radio AM-720 to hear Dave Eanet, Ted Albrecht and Mark Carman call the game.
Northwestern looks to rebound from a loss to No. 6 Michigan and win their fourth straight game in Evanston, where the Wildcats defeated Rutgers 21-7 in their last game at Ryan Field.
Storylines:
- The Wildcats will look to establish the running game with Evan Hull, who became the first Northwestern player since Venric Marc (2012) with two 70+ yard runs in a season when he broke off a 75-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter against Michigan.
- Chris Bergin continued a historic season against Michigan, as the senior linebacker remains the Big Ten's leading tackler with 78 total tackles in the 2021 season. The distance between Bergin and the player with the second-most tackles (Nick Henrich - Nebraska) is the same as Henrich and the player with the ninth-most tackles.
- Northwestern and Minnesota will face off for the first time in two years, after their 2019 matchup was canceled due to COVID-19 issues within the Gophers program. The teams had previously played every season since 2007.
