Lipsky Wins First Korn Ferry Tour Event

SAN ANTONIO, TX. - Two-time European Tour winner and 2011 Northwestern graduate David Lipsky was crowned the TPC San Antonio Challenge Champion on Sunday afternoon. 

Lipsky entered the final day at the Canyons after a 10-under 62 on Saturday to take a one-stroke lead. The 62 matched Fred Couples' competitive course record set at the 2011 AT&T Championship. The 2010 Big Ten Champion finished 25-under for his first Korn Ferry Tour victory. 

Lipsky now moves to 11 of the Korn Ferry Tour Top-25 as he aims to earn his PGA Tour Card.  
 

 


 

 



At Northwestern, Lipsky holds the fourth-best stroke average in school history with a 72.97 behind Luke Donald, Tom Johnson and Jess Daley. In 2010, he won the Big Ten individual championship, was named All-Big Ten first team, All-Academic Big Ten and was also honored as an All-American.
