EVANSTON, Ill. – The Northwestern men's golf team is set to kickoff its spring season on Feb. 7 and Feb. 8 in the 2020 Big Ten Match Play Championship at Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, Florida.
The 13-team field were drawn into a single-elimination bracket, with the seeds determined using the final fall Golfstat rankings. The Wildcats earned the No. 1 spot, securing a bye in the first round of play. The top-seeded 'Cats will begin play against the winner of the Iowa/Michigan match in Friday's afternoon session at 1 p.m E.T.
Hammock Beach Resort Conservatory Course is the longest and most-challenging course in Florida. Currently, it is Golf Digest's number one golf resort in Florida and was ranked third on Golf Digest's elite list of America's Best New Public Courses in 2008.
The 'Cats wrapped up their fall season in October which saw NU steadily improve from eighth- and 11th-place finishes in a pair of September tournaments to second- and third-place finishes in October.
