EVANSTON, Ill. — The Northwestern men's golf team will head to La Quinta, California, and the famed PGA WEST Greg Norman Course for the 20th-annual Prestige presented by Charles Schwab golf tournament, starting Monday, February 17.
The event will feature a shotgun start on Monday through Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. CT at the par-71, 7,070-yard course, which is nested by an immense crescent of terra-cotta mountains.
This is the first spring stroke play tournament for Northwestern, who will look to keep its momentum after claiming the 2020 Big Ten Match Play Championship title just last weekend.
What promises to be a highly competitive tournament, the field features six programs ranked among the top 25 in the GolfStat and GolfWeek rankings released on Feb. 12, as well as eight of the top 25 individual players in the nation — four of those ranked among the top 10 — according to the GolfWeek rankings.
The full list of teams are: Arkansas, Iowa State, LSU, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Pepperdine, San Diego State, SMU, Stanford, University of Stirling (Scotland), Texas, Texas Tech, UC Davis, UCLA, and Wyoming.
In addition to live scoring throughout the tournament on Golfstat, the final round on Feb. 19 will be livestreamed by Golfweek from 1-6 p.m. EST. Audiences can tune in on Wednesday at Golfweek.com/Prestige2020 .
Ten-time PGA Tour winner, three-time NCAA champion, and veteran golf commentator Steve Elkington will call the action alongside ESPN personality Ben Lyons, with analyst Will Haskett delivering onsite coverage.
