Final Round at Boilermaker Invitational Cancelled, 'Cats Finish Fourth

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The final round of the Boilermaker Invitational was canceled due to unplayable conditions, concluding Northwestern's regular season.
First year David Nyfjäll finished with a share of third place, marking the third top-5 finish of his collegiate career.
RESULTS (ROUNDS ONE AND TWO)
Nyfjäll was tied for sixth after he carded a 2-under 70 score in the first round at Kampen Course. The first year from Uppsala, Sweden fired on all cylinders to start round two with four birdies on the front nine. He finished the second round of 18-holes with only one bogey for a 4-under 68 score.
As a team, Northwestern placed fourth place after finishing the 36-hole day 6-under (289-281). Illinois State took home the team championship at 16-under. Wisconsin's Jordan Hahn earned medalist honors.
Eric McIntosh also carded 4-under 68 with five birdies and one bogey, marking the best round of his career. The sophomore tied for 12th for a total of 3-under in the tournament.
With the conclusion of the weekend, Chicago's Big Ten Team will begin to prepare for Big Ten Championships, April 26-28 in Philadelphia, PA.
