Nyfjäll Earns Top-15 Finish At Big Ten Championships

FLOURTOWN, PA.– David Nyfjälll earned a top-15 finish in the 2019 Big Ten Championships at the Philadelphia Cricket Club.
The first-year carded an even par-70 in the final day at the Wissiahickon Course with only one bogey and two birdies on the back-nine to finish tied for 11th. The Uppsala, Sweden native shot a total score of 220 in his first Big Ten Championship tournament.
As a team, Northwestern finished 13th after an 18-over 298 score in the third round. Illinois took home the Big Ten Championship with a 28-over total score. Adrien Dumont de Chassart from Illinois shot 2-over to become co-champion with Minnesota's Angus Flanagan.
Chicago's Big Ten Team will await its postseason fate this week as the 2019 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships selection announcement will take place this Wednesday, May 1 at 9 p.m. ET, on Golf Channel's Golf Central and streamed live on the Golf Channel website.
