Nance Drops Double-Double in Setback to Radford

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern suffered a 67-56 setback to Radford on Tuesday night in Welsh-Ryan Arena.
Pete Nance notched his second-career double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, aided by a career-high two three-pointers. Fellow sophomore Miller Kopp added a season-high 13 points, his third consecutive game in double-digit scoring.
The Wildcats got off to a quick start thanks to stellar team defense and Spencer's playmaking. The 'Cats forced three turnovers during an early 12-2 run. Spencer notched an and-one and a pair of layups to contribute seven of the points in the stretch.
Spencer led the way at the break with seven points and two assists, while Ryan Young paced the team in rebounds with four in the opening half.
Nance provided a spark in the second half with a pair of buckets to go along with his second three-pointer of the game, marking a new career-high. The sophomore led all scorers and rebounders in the second half with 13 points and eight boards.
Chicago's Big Ten Team will be back in action on Friday night when they host Norfolk State at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
