ROUND ONE TEE TIMES

EVANSTON, Ill. —
Northwestern is set for the NCAA Regional Championships in Columbus, Ohio, on Monday as the sixth-seeded team.

This NCAA Regionals appearance will mark the Wildcats' ninth time in the last 10 years of qualifying for the tournament. Only one team in the Big Ten has qualified more times in the last 10 years.

NU has now qualified for regionals for the 20th time in Director of Golf and Player Development Pat Goss' 26-year tenure.

The three day, 54-hole tournament is hosted by Ohio State and will be held on the Ohio State University Golf Club – Scarlet Course, a 7,400-yard, par-71 course that is home to the Buckeyes during the regular season. Admission for the event is free.

Northwestern will tee off from the 10th tee at 7:00 a.m. CT on Monday, paired with Wake Forest and UNLV. Tee times on Tuesday and Wednesday start at 6:30 a.m. CT.

Chicago's Big Ten Team played their 1999 regional competition at the Scarlet Course, where the Wildcats finished in second place, advancing to the NCAA Championships. That team ended up in third place in the nation.

Northwestern made its most recent trip to the Scarlet Course in the 2015-16 season for the Kepler Intercollegiate. Senior Dylan Wu paced the 'Cats at the event, finishing tied for eighteenth.

On the line for the Wildcats will be a trip to the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship, held in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on May 25-30.

The 35th-ranked #B1GCats will need to finish in the top-five to advance to the finale, in a field of thirteen teams including No. 1 Oklahoma State, No. 12 Illinois, No. 13 Texas Tech, No. 24 UNLV, No. 25 Wake Forest, No. 37 Penn State, No. 48 Tennessee, No. 49 Louisville, No. 60 Jacksonville, No. 61 Michigan State, No. 137 Yale, and No. 212 Cleveland State.

The top five teams from Columbus will join a field of 30 teams in the NCAA Championships. Other regional tournaments will be hosted in Raleigh, North Carolina; Bryan, Texas; Kissimmee, Florida; Norman, Oklahoma; and Stockton, California, all held concurrently May 14-16.

Northwestern tied for fifth-place at last year's NCAA Championships in Baton Rouge and fell in a playoff.

Dylan Wu is fresh off a third-place overall finish and All-Championships Team nomination at the Big Ten Championships and will look to lead his team to the NCAA Championships in his final regionals appearance as a Wildcat.
