Northwestern Ready for Final Tune-Up at Boilermaker Invitational

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern is set for the Boilermaker Invitational, its final tournament of the regular season, this weekend at the Kampen Course in West Lafayette, Indiana.
GOLFSTAT LIVE SCORING
The 54-hole tournament, now in its 15th year, will tee off with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. CT on Saturday, with the final 18 holes played on Sunday.
Northwestern with square off against 16 other programs, including five Big Ten schools, in its last competition before the Big Ten Championships.
The complete team list is: No. 31 Kent State, No. 37 Northwestern, No. 39 Purdue, UCF, Ohio State, Miami (OH), Wisconsin, Michigan, Cincinnati, Indiana, Toledo, UT Arlington, Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky, Northern Illinois, Wichita State, and Xavier.
It will be the fifth year in a row, and tenth time overall, that the 'Cats have participated in the Boilermaker Invitational. Northwestern has finished in third place each of the previous three seasons, due in part to the success of senior Dylan Wu. Wu finished in the top nine the past two seasons, including a third-place finish in 2016.
The 'Cats are coming off a sixth-place finish at the Goodwin, highlighted by a career performance by senior Sam Triplett. Triplett broke his 54-hole scoring record with a 7-under 206 to earn a fourth-place finish.
Along with Sam Triplett, Ryan Lumsden, Dylan Wu, Everton Hawkins, and Pete Griffith will be starting for the Wildcats. Eric McIntosh will be entered as an individual.
The weather will not make things easy, with a ninety percent chance of thunderstorms on Saturday and a one hundred percent chance of rain Sunday morning. Saturday will see a high of 65 and a low of 42, while Sunday will post a high of 47 and low of 27.
