Wu's Strong Finish Leads #B1GCats in Day One in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS — After making three birdies in his last seven holes, senior Dylan Wu shot a team-best 1-under 71 in the opening round of the Southern Highlands Collegiate on Monday.

As a team, Northwestern was 8-over, putting them in 13th place in a tightly-packed leaderboard. Wu is tied for 15th place with 36 holes remaining.
Next after 18 holes was junior Ryan Lumsden, who recorded an even par back nine to finish at 1-over, tied for 33rd in the field. Senior Sam Triplett and sophomore Everton Hawkins both recorded cards of 4-over, which is tied for 50th.
The Wildcats will tee off round two at the Southern Highlands at 11:30 a.m. CT from the 10th hole, starting with first-year Eric McIntosh (+12).
