EVANSTON, Ill. — The Northwestern men's golf team will be back in action from March 5-7 as they head to Las Vegas, Nevada, to play in the prestigious Southern Highlands Collegiate golf tournament.

One of the pinnacles of college golf, the highly selective invitational will feature a bevy of talented teams and individuals again this year, including eight teams currently ranked in the top 25 of the nation, including two-time defending champion USC.
The full team list includes: No. 4 Oklahoma, No. 7 Alabama, No. 8 Florida, No. 10 Texas Tech, No. 17 USC, No. 19 Illinois, No. 23 Pepperdine, No. 24 UCLA, No. 33 BYU, No. 36 Northwestern, No. 37 TCU, No. 47 UNLV, No. 50 UCF, SMU, and Washington.
The event takes place at the par-72, 7,510-yard Southern Highlands Golf Club. The first round of the 54-hole tournament will tee off Monday, followed by the second and third rounds on Tuesday and Wednesday. Play will begin at 11 a.m. CT each day.
Hosted by UNLV, the event has seen the likes of Phil Mickelson, Rickie Fowler, Ryan Moore, Billy Mayfair, Charley Hoffman, and Camilo Villegas as competitors.
Last week, Chicago's Big Ten Team finished The Prestige at PGA WEST in 6th out of 16 teams in stiff competition.
Senior Dylan Wu will look to continue his dominant senior campaign, while fellow senior Sam Triplett and junior Ryan Lumsden both will look to carry over their performances from PGA WEST, where they both finished in the top-10 as individuals.
