Malelane, South Africa - 2010 Big Ten Champion and 2011 Northwestern graduate David Lipsky earned his second European Tour victory on Sunday in the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek Country Club.

"It's indescribable actually," Lipsky said. "Winning is what we all hope to do, it's what we practice for, it's what we all put the time in for - the blood, sweat and tears"

Lipsky began the final day just one shot off the lead behind Scotland's Scott Jamieson and eventually took the lead by six. The Southern California native's advantage was cut to one shot after a double bogey on the 16th  , but came back to make par on the 17th . It was Lipsky's closing birdie that secured his win with a 68 (-14) to walk away victorious. This is Lipsky's second European Tour title after winning the 2014 European Masters.

"It's been almost five years since the last one and to come off this year where I haven't played that well and to finish it off like this, this win couldn't be any better."

At Northwestern, Lipsky holds the fourth-best stroke average in school history with a 72.97 behind Luke Donald, Tom Johnson and Jess Daley. In 2010, he won the Big Ten individual championship, was named All-Big Ten first team, All-Academic Big Ten and was also honored as an All-American.
