Wildcats Sit Fourth Overall After Day One at Windon Memorial

GLENVIEW, Ill. – Junior Dylan Wu is four shots off the individual lead and Northwestern sits in fourth place among the 15-team field at the 20th Windon Memorial Classic following the opening day of 26-hole action on Sunday at North Shore Country Club.
Play was suspended due to darkness. First round results are official, while second round results remain unofficial until the final group holes out Monday morning. Current standings at the moment play was suspended can be found on Golfstat. All but two groups finished all scheduled 36 holes of play. Those two groups will conclude their rounds at 7:30 a.m. Monday.
Wu is just four shots off of Wisconsin's Jordan Hahn's pace at 3-under 141 (69-72) after a second round even par. In the morning, Wu started the day with an eagle and a birdie, and followed up with a pair of birdies on the back nine. The junior finished the first round at 3-under 69.
Fifth-year senior Andrew Whalen carded seven first-round birdies to finish the morning round at 2-under 70. He finished up with a 5-over 75 second round and sits in 27th place overall after 18 holes.
Sophomore Ryan Lumsden attributed to the Wildcats strong first round, shooting 2-under 70 in the morning. He finished the day 1-over 145 and sits among the field's top 20.
