Wu Finishes Sixth Overall as NU Concludes Season at Stillwater Regional

STILLWATER, Okla. – Northwestern concluded its 2015-16 season Wednesday in the final round of the NCAA Stillwater Regional, hosted by Oklahoma State at Karsten Creek Golf Club.
The Wildcats finished seventh overall in the 14-team field after shooting 15-over 303 in the Regional finale. Chicago's Big Ten Team earned a 54-hole final total of 58-over 922 (300-319-303).
Sophomore Dylan Wu shot the low round for NU in Wednesday's finale, firing a 1-over 73 en route to a sixth-place individual finish. Wu concluded the Regional at 5-over 221, courtesy of a team-best 11 birdies.
Freshman Ryan Lumsden started the day with a birdie before rounding out the back nine with two more to finish the round at 4-over 76. The rookie ranked among the field's top 25 with 54-hole score of 12-over 228 to sit 22nd overall.
Sophomore Sam Triplett earned a top-50 finish at 18-over 234. Andrew Whalen had his best round on Wednesday, turning in a 5-over 77. The redshirt-junior finished at 26-over 242.
The squad's lone-senior Josh Jamieson wrapped up his Northwestern career with a final round of 12-over 84. Jamieson, the 2015-16 Big Ten Sportsmanship honoree, competed in every tournament this season for the Wildcats.
The #B1GCats will return six golfers for the 2016-17 season, including four that competed in postseason for NU this year.
