Wu Among Top 10 After Day Two at NCAA Regionals

STILLWATER, Okla. – The ninth-seeded Wildcats finished the second round at the NCAA Regional Championships in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on Tuesday with a 31-over 319 at Karsten Creek Golf Club that left them tied for eighth place. NU is just eight strokes back of a fifth-place finish that would qualify them for the NCAA National Championships.

Top-seeded Oklahoma State maintained their grip on first place after firing a 3-over 291 in the second round.

Sophomore Dylan Wu finished the day tied for eighth overall in the individual standings after carding a 6-over 78. Wu birdied two holes in the second round, both on the back nine, and stands seven strokes off of first place.

Freshman Ryan Lumsden also maintained his spot in the field's top-25 after two days as his 7-over 79 with three birdies ranked him 22nd overall. Sophomore Sam Triplett sits 40th after hitting one birdie in an 8-over 80 second round.

Inglis' lineup in the 5-count-4 format at Karsten Creek GC features one senior, one redshirt-junior, two sophomores and a freshman. The Wildcats' competition in the 14-team field includes four teams ranked in the top-20 of the Golfstat rankings, and four more in the top-50.

The top five teams will advance to the NCAA National Championships later this month in Eugene, Ore. The low individual not on those teams from each regional will also advance to the finals.
