EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern sophomore Dylan Wu has been named an All-Big Ten selection as voted on by the conference coaches.
Northwestern has had an All-Big Ten honoree in 14 of the last 16 years. The honor marks the first for Wu in his young career.
Wu finished in the top-20 in seven of Northwestern's nine team tournaments, leading the Wildcats in the individual standings at this year's Big Ten Championships in Newburgh, Indiana. He finished sixth overall at 3-under 213, and shot a team-best 3-under 69 in the tournament finale after closing out the day with two birdies in the final three holes.
The sophomore has paced Chicago's Big Ten Team in almost every statistical category this season with a pair of third place finishes, including the 'Cats regular-season finale at The Boilermaker where he got his second top-three finish of the season. Wu shot 5-under 212 in West Lafayette, Ind., en route to a third-place finish. Wu also tallied a third-place finish at Northwestern's lone-home tournament - the Windon Memorial.
Wu will head to the NCAA Regionals with a 71.97 stroke average, logging 18 rounds at par or better and a team-best five rounds in the 60s to lead Northwestern.
Senior Josh Jamieson was named Northwestern's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award honoree for 2015-16.
The NCAA tournament field is to be announced on Thursday, May 5, on the Golf Channel.
