'Cats Return to Action at Notre Dame Saturday

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's men's swimming and diving team returns to action at 11 a.m. Central time Saturday when it travels to Notre Dame for a dual meet.
The teams squared off last season in a three-team dual in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with NU earning a 173-127 victory.
The Wildcats have been off from competion since hosting the TYR Invitational Nov. 20-22 at Norris Aquatics Center. NU placed third in the invite paced by a pair of first-place finishes from Andrew Cramer. The junior diver took home top honors on the 3-meter board as well as on the platform.
Northwestern takes a 3-5 record in dual match action into Saturday's meet. The Wildcats have defeated UIC, Denison and University of Chicago while falling to Eastern Michigan, Missouri, Southern Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin.
The Wildcats will have only two dual meets remaining following Saturday's contest. Northwestern hosts Iowa Jan. 23 before facing Minnesota and Purdue on Jan. 29 and 30.
The Fighting Irish have a 2-2 record in dual meets this season, defeating Michigan State and Pittsburgh while falling to Virginia Tech and Virginia.
