EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern head coach David Inglis announced today the addition of Luke Miller (Venetia, Pa./Homeschooled) to the Wildcats' incoming Class of 2019. Miller has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Northwestern and will join Pete Griffith (Westlake Village, Calif./Oaks Christian) and Ryan Lumsden (London, England/Wellington College) as newcomers to the team in the fall of 2015.

Miller competed in the 2014 U.S. Amateur, firing a second-round 69 to finish just one stroke away from qualifying for match play. He advanced to Sectional Qualifying for the 2014 U.S. Open, as well.

Miller, who hails from Pennsylvania and is homeschooled, also won a pair of Florida state team championships in 2012 and 2013 with Lakewood Ranch High School.

"Coach (Pat) Goss and I are thrilled to welcome Luke to the Northwestern Golf family," Inglis said. "Luke has already shown a great ability to play on the big stage having qualified last summer for the US Amateur where he just missed the match play portion by a shot and advancing to the US Open Sectional qualifier. He is a very impressive young man with a strong desire to pursue golf and academics at the highest level -- that's why he chose Northwestern.

"With the addition of Luke to the 2015 class of Pete Griffith and Ryan Lumsden, I feel like we are assembling a team capable of winning championships."
