EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern opens its spring quarter schedule March 25-27 at the 17-team FAU Spring Break Championship at the Gleneagles Country Club in Delray Beach, Fla.

Schools will play a practice round Thursday, March 25, before playing 18 holes on each of the three days of the tournament. Live results will available at golfstat.com. Follow head coach Pat Goss' live tweets @NUGolf_Live for on course insights, as well.

NU is one of five Big Ten schools in the field, joining its conference brethren Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State and Wisconsin. The rest of the field is comprised by Connecticut, DePaul, Eastern Michigan, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Marquette, Marshall, Miami, Murray State, Nebraska, USF and Northern Illinois.

Northwestern last appeared in the FAU Spring Break Championship in 2009, finishing fourth overall among a field of 14 teams. Prior to this year's competition, the entire Wildcats' squad has been training in Florida during NU's spring break.

This tournament marks the first of four events for Northwestern in the space of a little over a month this spring, culminating in the Big Ten Championships April 29-May 1 in West Lafayette, Ind.
