DELRAY BEACH, Fla. -- Junior Jonathan Bowers (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Watterson) fired a final-round 1-over 72 Sunday to finish a career-best second place at the FAU Spring Break Championship, leading Northwestern to a fourth-place team effort in the 14-team field.

Bowers finished the event with a 6-under 207 (67-68-72), two strokes behind Illinois' Scott Langley and four strokes in front of Eastern Michigan's Cam Burke. As a team, Northwestern came in fourth with a 19-over 871 (286-288-297), seven strokes behind Eastern Michigan and two strokes ahead of Ohio State.

Senior Andy DeKeuster (Franksville, Wis./Racine Lutheran) finished 25th with a 7-over 220 (69-76-75) while Ravi Patel (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) tied for 27th with an 8-over 221 (76-71-74).

David Lipsky (La Canada, Calif./La Canada) was 52nd with a 12-over 225 (74-73-78). Freshman Eric Chun (Ansung City, South Korea/International Christian School) rounded out NU's team entries with an 18-over 231 (79-76-76).

Competing as an individual entry, Josh Dupont (Poway, Calif./Poway) earned a top-10 finish with his total of 2-over 215 (67-76-72). Freshman Sam Chien (San Diego, Calif./Mt. Carmel) was 27th as an individual with an 8-over 221 (73-75-73).
