EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern senior Kyle Moore (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Scioto) has been named a Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar, announced today by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar teams are some of the most stringent of all college athletics. To be eligible, an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70 percent of his team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke average under 76.0 in Division I and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2. A recipient also must be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

The Association honored 96 Division I student-athletes with the award in 2008. Moore led Northwestern with a 73.64 stroke average in 2007-08, firing five rounds of par or better during the year. His best finish of the year was a third-place effort at the Western Intercollegiate, and he placed in the top 23 in six of his final eight events.
