Wildcats Complete First Day of CordeValle Collegiate

SAN MARTIN, Calif. -- Kyle Moore's (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Scioto) even-par 72 led Northwestern in its first day of competition on Monday at the third annual CordeValle Collegiate.
As a team, NU shot an 11-over 371, placing the team ninth, ahead of Santa Clara and Washington and just one shot back of Arizona. UCLA leads the field, while Santa Clara lurks in second place.
While Moore had the strongest day for the 'Cats, three others sit just two shots back in a tie at two-over par. Dan Doyle (Rochester, Mich./Stoney Creek), Josh Dupont (Poway, Calif./Cathedral Catholic) and Andy DeKeuster (Franksville, Wis./Racine Lutheran) all tied for 34th place on the day, nine stroke behind James Lee of UCLA, who led with a seven-under on Monday.
The CordeValle Collegiate continues through Wednesday, Nov. 7.
