Wildcats Wrap up Action at Olympia Fields Illini Invitational

Andy DeKeuster and Josh Dupont tied for 21st place individually and the Northwestern men's golf team finished 12th at the challenging Olympia Fields Illini Invitational which concluded Monday at the Olympia Fields Country Club.
Oklahoma State (+17) held on to defeat Texas by seven strokes to capture the team title behind Rickie Fowler who held off Indiana's Jorge Campillo for medalist honors by firing a tournament-best seven under par.
The stellar 12-team field consisted of seven teams ranked in the top 25 nationally in the most recent Golf World/Nike Coaches Poll, while three others were receiving votes.
The Wildcats' four scoring golfers posted a team total of 53-over par 893 over the 54 holes of competition. Dupont and DeKeuster each finished at +11 with totals of 221. Kyle Moore finished just one shot behind the duo with a score of 222 to conclude the tournament at +12 and in 28th place. Dan Doyle was Northwestern's fourth scorer, carding a 229 to finish in 50th place at +19.
Northwestern will host the annual Windon Memorial Classic at Lake Shore Country Club in Glencoe, Ill., this coming Sunday and Monday.
