EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern sophomore Kyle Moore (Dublin, Ohio/Scioto) was named the Big Ten Conference's Golfer of the Week Wednesday after outdueling Indiana's Seth Brandon in a playoff at the 36th Robert Kepler Intercollegiate on Sunday.

Moore carded a par on the second playoff hole to win his first collegiate tournament. He shot a 1-under-par 215 (68-73-74) over three rounds, which included a 4-under 68 in Saturday's first 18. Moore, who won the 49th Eastern Amateur title last summer with a record-setting score, led the Wildcats to the team title, their second tourney crown of the year.

Making the title a little more special was the fact that he won the event in his hometown on the famed Muirfield Village Golf Club course, site of the PGA's Memorial Tournament.

This is Moore's first Big Ten Golfer of the Week honor.
