EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern men's golf team posted a 2-over par score of 866 for the weekend to finish in fourth at the The Ridges/Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate in Johnson City, Tenn. NU, ranked 11th in the nation, posted scores of 284-289-293=866. Preseason No. 1 Clemson, finished two strokes ahead of NU shooting a three-round total of 864.
Individually, freshman Tom Johnson finished in a tie for third place shooting rounds of 71-70-71=212 to finish 4-under-par for the tournament. This is Johnson's first collegiate tournament. The No. 1 golfer in the country, Luke Donald, finished in a tie for 11th shooting rounds of 68-76-70=214.
