Luke Donald Continues Play at 100th U.S. Amateur

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern golfer Luke Donald advanced to match play at the 100th U.S. Amateur Championship, which is being held this week at the Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J.
Donald advanced to the 64-player field after finishing the two rounds of stroke play at 1-over-par. His 18th-place showing comes after a 2-under-par 69 on the Lower course and a 3-over-par 73 on the Upper course. Donald will be competing against Sean Knapp (Oakmont, Pa.) in the first round of match play.
Recent graduate Josh Habig shot 79 in both rounds to finish the tournament at 17-over-par. He finished in 267th place and did not advance to match play.
Baltusrol Golf Club is a 36-hole venue consisting of two 18-hole courses. The Upper course is par-71, 6,887-yards and the Lower course is a par-70, 7,116-yard course.
