EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern senior-to-be Luke Donald and recent graduate Josh Habig suffered the same fate Friday afternoon, as both failed to make the cut at the PGA's Advil Western Open at Cog Hill in Lemont, Ill.
Donald, the 1999 NCAA champion who was playing on a sponsor's exemption, missed the cut by two strokes with a 1-over-par 145 through his first two rounds. Habig, who graduated in June and made the field through qualifying earlier in the week, shot a 6-over-par 150.
Donald and Habig were the only two amateurs playing in the 156-player field.
