Men's Golf 12th After Three Rounds at NCAA Championships

EVANSTON, ILL. - Northwestern men's golf team sits in 12th place at the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships in Opelika, Ala. NU shot rounds of 287-292 and 279 to put them 26 strokes behind leader, Oklahoma State (281-276=557). Today's third round was the best round so far for the `Cats as they finished 9-under-par.
Senior Jess Daley (Kent, Wash./Kentwood) shot a 3-under-par, 69, to give him a three round total of 8-under-par 208 to place him in a tie seventh, 12 strokes behind leader Charles Howell of Oklahoma State. Howell is at 20-under-par after shooting a 63 today.
Junior Luke Donald (High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England/Royal Grammar School) had his best round of the championships firing a 4-under-par, 68. He is in 14th place with a three round score of 6-under-par (210).
Senior Josh Habig (Jasper, Ind./Jasper) shot a 2-under-par, 70, to finish with a three round total of 220. Seniors Danny Riskam (Olney, Md./Sherwood) and David Shaffer (Andover, Mass./Andover) both have three round totals of 225.
