EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern men's golf team stands in eighth place at the Compaq Intercollegiate in Los Cabos, Mexico. NU shot rounds of 295-293 for a total of 588 to put themselves 25 strokes behind leader Georgia Tech, (288-275=563).
Luke Donald (High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England/Royal Grammar School) leads the way for the Wildcats shooting rounds of 69-68 to put himself in a tie for second place, three strokes behind leader Edward Loar of Oklahoma State.
Senior Jess Daley (Kent, Wash./Kentwood) is in a tie for 18th shooting rounds of 71-72 while Josh Habig (Jasper, Ind./Jasper) chipped in with rounds of 77-74 to put him in a tie for 41st. David Shaffer (Andover, Mass./Andover) finished the first two rounds with scores of 78-79 as Scott Harrington (Portland, Ore./Jesuit) shot rounds of 84-80.
